Cassie is a 3 year old purebred black Labrador Retriever female surrendered by her owners when she fell ill. She was taken in by her vet who diagnosed her with an embolism in her back which rendered her unable to walk. With lots of TLC and medical treatment, Cassie has recovered and is getting along normally. Before transferring Cassie to our shelter, her vet tested her and found that she was also heartowrm positive. She has been treated and will be off crate rest the end of February. Cassie is very sweet and affectionate, is house and crate trained, likes kids and eager to resume an active lifestyle. She knows basic commands and is eager to please. She is about 22-23 inches tall, weighs 70 pounds, up to date on shots, and spayed. Adoption fee $250.
